Cheap in the wintertime, expensive in Summer
Colorado Springs is expensive in Summer, but cheap in Winter. The winters are usually not bad and the motel rates are low through Spring.
They have two big budget motel corridors in Colorado Springs....
Cheap....Garden of the Gods thru Fillmore and I-25 area...most are national chains and most of them in the winter time have rates of 29.99 (Fall thru Spring) posted on big neon signs.
Cheapest...South Nevada and I-25. This area is full of cheap outdated motels that are about ready to close and make way for urban redevolopment. I usually see off-season rates posted around 25 dollars a night.
