All: USAFA Graduation
All motels and hotels for many miles around are booked solid for the Academy graduation. So if you want to see a graduate, you need to book about a year in advance. I'm not sure where we stayed, but we had me, my husband and three children (one on a cot) in one room (with one bathroom) and there was almost no room to move.

We stayed at McGregor's Cabins...
We stayed at McGregor's Cabins in the mountains. We climed the rocks and drove up to Pike's Peak and hiked. We walked downtown and bought some souvineers and had a German lunch with the best German chocolate cake I've ever eaten! We had honeymoon momento t-shirts airbrush painted with our names on them. We took a daytrip to Cripple Creek (before it was a casino town) and stayed at a cute frontier hotel. We toured the mine and drove the shelf road down to the Royal Gorge, which was beautiful and memorable. We also visited my great uncle in Denver and friends in Cripple Creek.
The price was reasonable and people were friendly. The outdoor hot tub felt great in the crisp mountain air. The view was breathtaking and the hiking/climbing was a workout. We stayed in a small 2 room cabin with a deck. It had a fireplace and kitchenette.
