Hi everyone,
Planning a trip to Colorado Springs for 1st week of September. Are their any interestng events to check out during this period?
Particularly interested in Christian related events.

Hi! The first week of Sept everybody in town will be at the Balloon Classic. It's a big hot air balloon event at Memorial Park. It's one of Colorado Springs main events each year. Sept 2,3,4. Check out this site for more info: http://www.balloonclassic.com/
My favorite part of this area is the mountains. The terrain changes so drastically very quickly. I am into hiking. In just 13 miles, elevation can increase 7300 feet. I strongly suggest going to the summit of Pikes Peak. There are three ways to get there: cog railway, car or my favorite foot. The view is unbelievable.
You know, Coloradans are by and large friendly, just don't feed 'em, or they get wild on ya! Don't feed the Coloradan's!

Built in 1982. The theatre is small, and as I remember doesn’t have anything spectacular in its hall and concert hall. Despite this fact theatre hosted a lot of performances including international ones.

The Squatting Chicken is a hole-in-the-wall drinking establishment that offers a decent place to watch sports and drink a few beers with the locals. They don't have much food other than pizza and snacks, but occasionally, they have a BBQ on the back deck. Drinks are cheap.
You know what they say about not going grocery shopping when you're hungry? You often make impulse decisions that aren't very good. I guess the same could be said about my decision to eat at Front Range BBQ. It was in the trendy Old Colorado City section of Colorado Springs, and it had a colorful exterior, and it just looked like a neat place to eat. WRONG.
The food wasn't terrible. It was so-so, just fair. But the service was awful. It took us forever to get noticed, let alone waited on. Waiters just walked by us on the way to another dining room. None.
