Grizzly Roadhouse: Bed and Breakfast South of Cortez

After a long day of traveling through Mesa Verde National Park, and then our minor adventure out to Hovenweep (which you can read about on this page), we were excited to get in and settled at our accommodation for the night. Because we were traveling with the little one, we decided to only look for rooms that had separated living from sleeping areas, so we could keep Anna in a nice quiet environment. The Grizzly Roadhouse hit that bill perfectly, and it was located right on the road we were taking in the morning to head to the Four Corners, so we booked it!

This was a very nice 2 bedroom set up with two bathrooms, a small kitchen that was fully stocked, and a small parking spot that easily fit our loaded down SUV. We rented the house for one night, midweek, and Anna got her own room! It was nice to have plenty of space to lay out, but this also would have been perfect for two couples traveling together as well.

The kitchen was fully stocked with fruit, bread, bagels, candy, eggs, and just about anything else you would want. We took advantage of a delicious do it yourself breakfast, and I also hear you can get a local breakfast when their cook is in town.
