Downtown Denver Hotel

Wonderful hotel located in the heart of Downtown Denver approximately one block from the 16th street mall. Rooms are exceptionally clean and modern. Beds are comfy. Coffee maker, hair dryer, television, high speed internet access all in room. Nice views of Denver and the city street scene happening below your room is fantastic. Check in and check out was quick and fast and the front desk staff are courteous and helpful.
Really the only negative I found about this hotel is that when the hotel is full the elevator is slow and you can wait anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes for it and if you are on a high floor (we were on the 10th floor) it is not a big deal to walk down the stairs, the issue is deciding whether you should wait to take the elevator up or walk up the 10 flights of stairs!!! Not a hard choice....

Unique Quality: You are right smack in the middle of downtown Denver so the views from your room are great views of the buildings of the city and the bustling street scenes below your room. This is one of the great things about being in downtown is that you are in the middle of it all.
Great restaurants, shops and bars all right outside your door, literally.
They have a decent continental breakfast, which they call a "full breakfast" with eggs, sausage, bacon, french toast, pancakes, regular toast, fruit, yogurt, bagels, pastries, coffee and juice. The bacon was a little on the VERY thin and gross side but I found the rest of the breakfast to be just fine.
We stayed here on New Years Eve 2005 and paid $155 for the night.
The Skywalk to the Brown Palace is a neat feature, you can walk over to the Brown Palace Hotel to just check it out, or go have dinner or drinks at the bar over there. Room service to the Comfort Inn is provided by the Brown Palace hotel.
