Boutique and Central

The Luna hotel is as close as you'll come to an Ian Schrager'esque hotel in the city of Denver. The rooms are small, but many are available with outdoor decks overlooking the downtown streets of Denver. Well decorated (lots of white) and a shower that is worth the price of admission alone (I'm very particular when it comes to showers - I need a lot of water, with medium to high pressure). The lobby is home to a small cafe for morning coffee and pastries; and the Flow Lounge. A somewhat tragically hip bar, frequented by many cosmopolitan Denver transplants yearning for a cocktail in a sophisticated, metropolitan setting.

Unique Quality: I believe the best feature of the hotel is its central location within downtown Denver. It is located in LoDo - putting you within a very comfortable walk to a slew of bars and restaurants. You'll also be 1/2 block from the 16th street bus -- A free tram that will commute you along the 16th Street Mall, thereby expanding your access to shopping and dining without needing use of a taxi or car rental.

The hotel is also small - 25 rooms (I'm guessing). Giving it a very boutique feel. It isn't hard for the workers there to learn your name and they do a good job of making you feel welcome.

As far as the bar is concerned - what I find most appealing about Flow is that due to the lay out and wait service; no matter how crowded it gets, you will never feel cramped or have any trouble getting your hands on a drink.

Jet Hotel

by AussieTravellers

My daughter has been booked into the Jet Hotel in Denver when she attends a conference in May. Have been on TripAdvisor and read the most appalling reviews. Seems there is a night club operating on Thurs/Fri & Sat nights with loud, thumping music going into the early hours of the morning. Also the hotel itself rated quite poorly.
Would appreciate comments from anyone who has stayed at this hotel and who isn't into the nightclub scene.

Thanks

Thanks for your advice, Seth76.
Not sure of the conference venue. Unfortunately, accommodation booked via a travel agent on behalf of her work. From TripAdvisor reviews (none of which was very complimentary) the Jet turns into a nightclub each Thursday to Saturday night(inclusive) which could mean precious little sleep as she arrives on a Thursday.
Probably just being an over-protective mother.
