Once again Denver's sprawl caught me out. I booked this hotel for its "Central" location, not realising that it was a good 4 miles out of downtown but as it turned out that wasn't too much of a problem. The hotel itself was fine, swift and friendly check-in and out, decent sized rooms, clean and everything worked. On departure my booked shuttle didn't show up but it was no problems using the reception phone to sort out, whilst the barman sorted me a beer! For the money no complaints whatsoever.
Unique Quality: Although slightly further out of town than I had expected the location on the intersection of the I25 and I70 makes it easily accessible and they provide a downtown shuttle on request.
Directions: Just off the junction of the I70 and I25.
Wow. We stumbled upon one of the best motel values we have ever found. My wife and I stayed here in mid-April of 2006 for the grand sum of $57 per night with our AARP discount. Of course the rates will probably increase some in May, but its still good.
Our room was absolutely clean. It was equipped with a microwave, refrigerator, and a nice couch to relax on. Friends of ours were staying at an expensive high-rise hotel downtown, but they had no microwave, fridge or couch. ha ha.
Unique Quality: Location, Location, Location. And this location is great. The Denver Tech Center is a large collection of computer firms, banking firms, etc. Within two blocks of this motel is a regional office of Enterprise Rent-a-Car, a firm that manufactures shower doors, a great Italian Restaurant (Maggiano's), and other nice-looking motels. This is an area of Denver where you will feel completely safe.
Directions: from I-25 in the south part of Denver, take the Dry Creek exit (#196), go east a short block, then turn north on Clinton about 2 blocks, then east about 2 blocks to the motel.
