Stay in Comfort
Thanks to some last minute plans, Sarah and I switched from our Comfort Inn in Santa Fe, NM and made a reservation for one night in Durango, CO. It meant a little more packing and unpacking, but we thought that would far outweigh having to drive from Santa Fe directly to Mesa Verde.
The room was a pretty decent size, but it was very nice because there was a room between us and where we set up Anna's pack and play. It was slightly unfortunate though that they put the living room in between the bedroom and the bathroom, which means we would need to be very quiet as we sneak past her to use the bathroom in the middle of the night.
We were not impressed with the warm breakfast in the morning, as it appeared that they did not see much value in having any meat, so there was just bread things and some soggy eggs. Overall, the price was decent though, so I did not complain about having to stop somewhere else for breakfast. It was also fairly convenient to the highways, but be advised this location is no where near downtown if you plan on walking anywhere from your hotel.
