More about Comfort Inn Estes Park
Perfect place to stay for your Colorado vacation
by TripAdvisor Member ESERE
We stayed at this hotel 9/23 - 9/24 while in Estes Park for a wedding. The location of the hotel was great. There were Elk wandering around the area and we had a great view out of our window of the snow covered mountains. We chose to stay here as opposed to staying where the wedding reception was taking place which was a bed and breakfast in the area. We were very glad we made this decision because people who were staying at the bed and breakfast were complaining about their rooms. The rooms at the Comfort Inn were very spacious and the bathroom looked like it had just been refinished. The breakfast in the morning was nice. They had a waffle machine but other than that I thought there wasn't much selection. If I were to go back to this area I would definitely choose this hotel again.
Noisy in the two story building!
by TripAdvisor Member dbdl
We absolutely love Estes Park and have stayed at the Comfort Inn before. They have a great breakfast to get you going and the owners and staff are sooo sweet. They want your stay to be good but sometimes it just doesnt work. We stayed in one of the outside buildings and it was really noisy. It was the one with two stories. There is an outside building that has one story and it is not noisy. SOOO when you stay there ask for one of the main building rooms or the one story building rooms. You wont be dissappointed. The two nights we stayed, there were Elk everywhere. Its a fun thing for us tourists to see the elk :) The Comfort Inn is in a good location. Not far from downtown but a little too far to walk unless you are a walker.
Good value

We spent a week in Estes Park during Fall 2006. Our stay at the Comfort Inn was enjoyable and and we'd definately return there again if in the area.
Pros:
1. Reasonable pricing
2. Excellent cleanliness
3 Very friendly/helpful staff
4. Adequate breakfasts (muffins, bagels, cereals, waffles, etc) in a very well maintained dining area
Cons:
1. Views out of rooms range from mediocre to poor. May be a slight cut above the Estes Park "norm" however.
2. Room size is more than adequate by normal motel chain standards. If you're planning on spending a lot of time at your motel however, you might want to look for a bit more upscale place to stay.
3. Not within easy walking distance of the town.
Pretty average place

Recently spent one night at the Comfort Inn in Estes Park while in the area looking for property. The hotel was okay, nothing special, but fine for an overnight stay. The bathroom was tiny! Breakfast was included in the rate and was pretty basic - cereal, bread, waffles. We booked the hotel directly the morning of our arrival and paid $100, which seemed a bit much for this place, but that's how it goes in Estes. The hotel faces the highway, so we requested (and received) a room in the back, which was pretty quiet.
OK - breakfast are too congested

Stayed here for 2 nights in September 2006.
We weren’t in the main block which was a little disappointing, but the hotel was relatively quiet. I’m not sure though that we got the best service from reception as although they recommended a restaurant to us, we overheard them advising another resident to state they were from the hotel and they would receive a discount – we weren’t made aware of this.
We skipped breakfast on both days and instead ate our own cereal in the room as the breakfast area was just too congested. The first day it was full of a coach tour and the second day we decided to finish our cereal and get an early start. We did get a coffee to go, but even this was difficult with so many people trying to get breakfast.
Bathroom was really small, but the microwave was useful as we managed to heat some soup to warm us up as the weather was extremely cold.
Suites great for families
by TripAdvisor Member fuzzybee
My husband and I stayed at this Comfort Inn with our 10 and 11 year-old children for two nights in a two-story suite. The suite has two bedrooms and two baths. The bottom floor bedroom has one queen-size bed, a bathroom, a four-person table, gas fireplace, a small fridge and microwave, and a small balcony. The upstairs has two double beds,
a bath with a shower and a small balcony. Both balconies are big enough for a couple of chairs. We paid $169 per night.
The building we stayed in is in very good shape with little sign of wear. Some of the other buildings looked a little more sketchy. The staff was very friendly.
There is a heated pool and hot tub, which the kids enjoyed. Our first-floor balcony happened to overlook the pool, so we were able to sit there and read while watching them, which was very nice. The complementary breakfast is fairly standard for this type of hotel - muffins, bagels, cereal, make-it-yourself Belgian waffles, fruit. We
appreciate not having to spend extra time and money seeking out food in the morning.
The one drawback for us was that the hotel lacked an elevator. Our suite was on the second and third floors (the first floor being standard rooms) so we had to lug our bags up the stairs.
Great Service and Friendly Staff
by TripAdvisor Member GoBlue1987
Very friendly staff, and excellent service. We just arrived back from a trip to Colorado, and of the three cities/places we stayed, this was the best experience, though it was by far the least expensive of the three (the others were in Manitou Springs and Keystone). The outside is not anything great -- though very clean and well maintained -- but the rooms were newly renovated and completely updated. The location was great as well. The staff was excellent, and were constantly on top of cleaning and re-filling everything at the breakfast area. The staff went out of their way to greet you, and make sure you were satisfied. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in Estes Park.
Great stay

The Inn rooms are updated, clean and the beds really comfortable. They have pillow top mattresses with great pillows. The staff is friendly and helpful. We've stayed here previously and have never been disappointed.
Very enjoyable stay

Booked one of the larger rooms in the main building with one queen and one double bed and it was very spacious. Refrig, micorowave and wireless internet were big plus. Beds were very comfortable with plenty of pillows. Lobby staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms looked like new.
Free breakfast had good variety and items available were constantly being replentished. Would definately stay at this property again.
The Comfort Inn worked out well
by TripAdvisor Member nicolediane
We reserved a room with a king bed away from the highway and that worked out well. The room had new mattress and bedding. There was a coffee maker, microwave and little fridge. The room was clean. The breakfast buffet was fine, bagels, muffins, cereal and stuff to make waffles. Nothing exicting but what we expected. The grounds could use a little work. There was a pool which looked ok but we didn't use it.
We hiked around Bear Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park and also Alberta Falls. Both easy hikes although the altitude can slow you down.
