Valhalla Resort: Good Family Accommodations

Valhalla Resort has a variety of separate cabins and larger homes for vacationers in Estes Park. It does not give a great impression upon first glance. It's in the middle of a slightly rundown residential neighborhood and doesn't have much of a view. Nevertheless, the cabin in which we stayed was quite clean and comfortable. We had a two-bedroom unit with a fully-stocked kitchen, wood fireplace, large deck with BBQ grill, cable TV and pleasant decor. The resort has a small rec center and heated pool, which can actually be hard to find in Estes.

Valhalla is convenient to downtown Estes and the Beaver Meadows entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. The prices are good during low and shoulder season, but rise dramatically during high summer season. The staff was very friendy and helpful during our visit, and answered my questions promptly via email before my arrival.

I think Valhalla is a good value for families visiting Estes.

Decent prices, heated pool and lots of activities for kids including mini-golf.

Wildernest: Cozy, quiet and relaxing

We chose a property found on owned by the McMahans. These people rent their vacation home to private individuals on a nightly or weekly basis. Included in your rent is a fully equiped kitchen, 2 bedrooms with 2 baths, washer and dryer, living room, dining room and family room, games, books, movies, deck, 2 TVs, DVD player, and even a picnic basket. The best part?....There was fresh bread baking when we walked in. How good is that? Linens and towels were also there. We had 4 people staying there, so that is why the rate is so low below. It is actually $160 per night, plus a one time cleaning fee.

This house is quiet and cozy and off the beaten path. It is actually located in a residential neighborhood, but has a rural feel to it. It includes views of the mountains and wildlife, including elk. The owners used to live in it, so it feels like home. We found it to be the perfect ending to our busy days of hiking and sightseeing.

Vacation Home Rental: Wildernest of Estes Park

Wildernest is a private home owned by two of the nicest people in Colorado. It is a two bedroom house. One bedroom has a king sized bed and the other two twins. The sofa in the family room is also a pull-out bed.
The house has a living room, dining room and kitchen plus a beautiful family room. It is extremely clean and located not far from town with nice views of the mountain. It has a nice deck and grill. This is a great option for any visit to Estes Park, Colorado.
The owners had fresh bread in the bread making machine when we arrived with real butter.
They have two TV sets, stereo, a library of videos to watch and books to read and games to play. There is internet access available. There is a fireplace in the living room and a wood stove in the family room.
They really have just about anything you might need in this house. It also has a full-sized washer and dryer and a dishwasher. It may be the cleanest place we have ever stayed in at Estes Park or anywhere.

The house had nice views of the mountains and was in a nice quiet residential area between Hwy 7 and Hwy 36 not far from town.

Deer Crest Resort: No kids in the pool!

I know where we'll be staying from now on when we go to Estes Park. We had their most popular room, The Fall River Suite, and it was wonderful. A king size bed, rock fireplace, nice kitchenette and the river was just a few feet from our front door. It's not right in downtown but it's close and really easy to find.

The best part is that they don't allow anyone under the age of 19 and it's a non-smoking property. No screaming kids running around, jumping in the pool and being generally obnoxious. We were able to enjoy the pool and hot tub in peace every time we went out. We were able to sleep in without disturbance. We grilled our dinner poolside and ate at a picnic table by the river. Relaxing, peaceful, tranquil, calm - any and all of those words describe our stay there perfectly.

Saddle & Surrey Motel: Estes Park best lodging value

From the moment we arrived for a week's stay the hotel management exceeded our every expectation! OUr room was spotless and well-maintained. Several mornings we were treated to elk bugling and grazing just outside our room. Great location just outside town.

I recommend Miles...

I recommend Miles Motel&cottages, in south St. Vrain.
That is the site i was workiog for 75 days, all the summer.
I was cleaning a lot, the managers take care of the cleanesess and the houkeeping is supervised everytime. there is a swimming pool and beautiful cottages.
The place is also in the edge of a golf course (18 holes) very nice. the golf course is placed in an old airfield.

approx 100$ per nite
