Web photos deceiving!

We were disappointed in the Wildwood Inn. It just was not what we expected. We stayed in a studio suite in the Sundance Lodge.
We made reservations here because we liked the location and the private outdoor hot tub, but upon our arrival discovered that 1. The building was close to the road and 2. The "private" hot tub sat on a deck where everyone in the surrounding buildings could see us!In addition, there was only one BBQ grill which was intended to be shared by 8 rooms- you don't get your own.
Also, water sloshing from the tub on the deck above us would drip down on us while we sat out on our patio!
We left after one night and moved to Boulder Brook which was very, very nice.
This is an average to maybe slightly above average place, but we were looking for something special.
Beware, the web site photos are deceiving!
Another Wonderful Visit

This is the 4th year that we have stayed at Wildwood when we visit Estes. Everything is still wonderful, the staff is still helpful and make you feel welcome. Everything is clean fresh and new feeling. This year we got to try a Termperpedic mattress on our bed. I'm sold, very nice.
Only noticed one thing that could be a considered an issue. After we checked in, we noticed new plug-in devices in some of the rooms. Unon inspection they were ultra-sonic rodent repellant units. Evidently a family of chippies has moved in and sometimes comes to visit you in the units. They ask you to keep the doors closed too. I guess they work fine but it is something new. The chippies are sure fun to watch. Anyway that it, we will stay with them again. I have enclosed some pictures to give you an idea of what things look like.

As newlyweds, we deeply appreciated the mellow, unobtrusive atmosphere of the Wildwood Inn. The suite was very charming and had a fabulous view. The staff was responsive when needed and friendly. The suite was clean, and the surrounding grounds were also well kept. Thank you for sharing a charming place for us to stay! #36
One Great Stay

The Wildwood Inn in Estes Park provided an excellent get-away; a short drive from the city but a whole new environment. Service was great and the accommodations were beyond expectation. The facility is not quite remote but far enough to be peaceful, very quiet and the views just right. The room was most comfortable immediately creating an atmosphere of relaxation from the beginning. Wildwood Inn rates a definite return and without hesitationI can easily recommend visiting.
Perfect Honeymoon Spot!

We just returned from a week at the Wildwood Inn in Estes Park, and it was WONDERFUL! Our suite was absolutely beautiful- we were in a one bedroom in-room hot tub suite. It was exactly as pictured on the website, and the view from the deck was glorious. We will definitely stay here again. The staff was very friendly and accommadating, and we loved how close the inn was to RMNP, but still just a few minutes from town. One night i actually saw 6 elk in the inn's parking lot- what a treat! Wildwood inn was such a perfect and relaxing honeymoon spot!

We just returned from Estes Park, CO. Our room (#28)was wonderful! The new Temperpedic beds were great and the room was extremely clean! Loved the jetted tub, this was very welcomed use since the weather was cold!! The staff was wonderful, when we asked for things, everyone was very accomodating.
The quite was very welcoming. The only draw back was the gusty winds made the windows drafty in the living room and there was a knocking at night.
It was a very nice and well deserved get away. To wake up to the beautiful mountains was breath taking.
Can't wait to come back for another visit! Hopefully the wind will not be such a factor next visit!
Incredible and peaceful

My husband and I stayed here for a night away and woke up to bighorn sheep at our front door. The room was wonderful, peaceful, and clean. The hot tub was relaxing and the views were breathtaking. I highly recommend this inn for anyone looking for a night of relaxation.

We had a GREAT stay! We appreciated the privacy and warm welcome. The movie selection was INCREDIBLE! Our suite was clean, comfortable, and enjoyed immensely. We will definitely return. The indoor hot tub was a bit smaller than we had hoped for but worked out fine for a winter getaway.

Great senic views of mtns. / wildlife, nice clean rooms w/ hot tub, friendly assistants great atmosphere to get away from the city life and relax in gods country!
