Newer Deluxe Accommodations

The Hilton Garden Inn in Fort Collins, Colorado was a delightful find, actually a local airport recommendation. The multistory inn appeared quite new, and was spotless everywhere, with impeccable maintenance and charm. We stayed just one night and for breakfast served the next morning, as we had flight miles to make the next day, wanting to arrive early at Oshkosh, Wisconsin for EAA AirVenture 2008, the big airshow. We had two adjacent rooms for a party of three. The rooms were superb, with two king size beds in each. Each room had a HD TV and desk with computer workstation plug-ins. There was a coffee/tea self-service, a microwave oven and a small refrigerator with freezer compartment. The furniture was spotless and comfortable, ditto the bed. The air conditioning system was quietly unobtrusive with wall thermostat control. I would certainly recommend this Inn to anyone.

Additional amenities: Fitness Center & Indoor Pool hours 5 am to 10 pm-Guest Room Key Access Only, Business Center available 24 hours/day-Guest Room Key access Only, Lobby Bar 5 pm to 11 pm, Great American Grill for breakfast & dinner, Pavilion Pantry with sundry items 24 hours/day, and Room Service between 5 pm & 10 pm.

Unique Quality: Quiet comfort comes to mind, with spotless cleanliness and gracious service. The breakfast off the main floor of the Inn's large entry lobby served cooked to order was also excellent with fresh fruits and melons choice. Everything was exceedingly satisfactory.

Close to campus

The Holiday Inn is located just south of the campus on Prospect Road. It is a little on the pricey side, but if you're interested in walking around the school much, the location is unbeatable. There is usually no line at the check-in, the lobby is very clean and quiet. The rooms themselves are very well kept, and the cleaning crew did a great job while we had our stay. There is a small sundry shop on the first floor, but only shop here if desparate due to the high prices. There also is an indoor pool, fitness center, piano bar, and restaurant on site. The atrium is beautiful. You're going to be paying a little more for all of these extras, so if they, or the location, are not a priority, you may find a better deal elsewhere.

Note this is now a Hilton rather than a Holiday Inn - prices have jumped with the name change :)
