Sitting outside in a cafe
by KaiM
Sitting in a cafe in downtown Fort Collins with some friends. Have a hot chocolate and watch the people passing by - that´s my fondest memory of Fort Collins. The pedestrian zone almost has European flair and for me a trip to Fort Collins was always something to look for while I was living in nearby Laramie, Wyoming.
Winter Gem
by thesweetooth
Long's Peak is a famous hike in Rocky Mountain National Park in the summer....what most people don't know is that it is a great winter destination with a pair of snowshoes! Reaching timberline in just a few (uphill) miles, you are treated to beautiful views of Long's, the surrounding mountains and you can even see all the way to the Front Range! Definitely take your camera. The best part is, the way down is all downhill :-)

Best Indian Food in Town
by Sagespot about Taj Mahal
This little place is a wonderful place to grab Indian food in Fort Collins. Featuring both a lunch buffet and dinner options - they have a great selection of choices. The food is VERY fresh and the service is both prompt and accurate. For those not familiar with Indian dishes, the menu does a wonderful job of explaining the different dishes and spice blends.
A huge selection of dishes are offered, and as each is prepared individually you can order it spiced mild, medium, or hot. They have over 13 different types of naan bread!! You gotta love that type of selection!
It's a very comfortable eatery with cloth napkins and medium lighting, very close to the Old Towne District. I'm in love with the Taj Mahal's vegetarian dishes. Of special note would be the great taste and high quality of the Aloo Chhole (potatoes cooked with chick peas and spices.) The regular naan bread was wonderful, and they had a great selection of Indian beers.
Fabulous Mexican Food
by PinkFloydActuary about Tortilla Marissa's
Tortilla Marissa's is located on College Avenue, south of the campus. Here, you'll find a pretty decent Mexican restaurant with great service. The building itself is nothing special, but you shouldn't be too disappointed in the food. They don't really do anything that is a specialty item, just your standard menu (enchillads, tacos, burritos, fajitas, etc.) Prices are fairly reasonable, and this is an appropriate place to bring your family. Open for lunch and dinner. Rarely had a long wait for a table, except on the weekends. I'd go for the steak fajitas. Very flavorful, with plenty of steak and veggies. The flour tortillas are not dry and hold everything together nicely.
