Table Mountain Inn is right on the main drag in Golden and we probably paid a premium for that but no matter - we were hot, tired and without a reservation when we hit town. They only had one room left and it was more than we'd planned on but the desk manager cheerfully let us haggle him into shaving a little off the price. Nice guy! Our Grand King was spacious, nicely decorated in warm, Southwest colors and had above-average amenities such as a down comforter, refrigerator with free bottled water and Aveda bath products. The sliding glass door faced west and had a small, step-out balcony that overlooked a tiny courtyard and some of the foothills. The hotel has a variety of rooms in different sizes and prices but they all look nice - check the website. Very friendly staff. We'd definitely stay here again.
We didn't eat at the the restaurant (open for breakfast, lunch and dinner) but did have a beverage and appetizer in the cheerful bar. Happy hours run 3-6 and 9-11 daily with drink and appetizer specials.
Unique Quality: Within walking distance of many restaurants, shops and the creek-side park. Comfortable bed with nice linens. Very nice desk staff.

This hotel, on the Western edge of Denver, is a wonderful place, offering a SW Arizona type feel, spacious rooms and great atmosphere.
On your next trip to Denver do consider staying here as it's extremely convenient to get into downtown Denver from this location in Golden.

Rack rates are about $115-$195. Faux adobe exterior and southwestern interior, very charming in the winter with the luminaries on the balconies. Excellent restaurant and bar. Comfortable and unique accomodations at reasonable prices. Front of hotel rooms have great views of Table Mountain. Don't miss the mountain lion perched high in the lobby.
Relaxing southwestern atmosphere. You can get the same menu in the bar (pictured). They have a decent selection of Colorado microbrews on tap also. Anything! I would suggest you not order both an appetizer and a meal unless you are a real glutton. Their tortilla soup and the quesadilla from the appetizer menu are big enough for a light meal.
Even though this restaurant is part of the Table Mountain Inn hotel it's menu is creative and fresh. A lot of local dishes.
