Cash STOLEN from our room while at the pool
We stayed here as it was the host hotel for a race. Within 30 min or so of being at the pool we found our room was robbed of about $350 in cash. We had towels delivered to the room right before we went to the pool, went to the pool for 30-45 min returned to the room to find two of our wallets had been emptied of the cash we brought for the race. Is it a coincidence that the head housekeeper who brought the towels had just seen my wallet lying on the table? Is it a coincidence she is on parole? We are normally careful not to ever leave anything of value out but we were in a hurry. When we reported the issue the owners and managers were not apologetic but purely defensive, they didn’t even offer to comp the room. On top of all of this, the beds were hard as rocks, the AC didn’t work, and the carpet was so dirty that your feet looked like you walked across the blacktop parking lot. This hotel currently uses old school metal keys which at first I thought were pretty cool but now I realize that makes it untraceable as to who enters your room. While I am sure it is incredibly difficult to turn a troubled hotel around in the 1.5 years they have owned it I felt like they were accusing me of trying to scam them and didn’t care if I got robbed as long as it wasn’t proven to be their fault. This hotel is owned by Dave and Laura Lehmann who also own the Ramada in Grand Junction.
