loveland...slow down !!
"its not chicago"
when i first came to loveland, well i drove right thru on the way to estes park, and thought it looked like a typically pretty small town america place.
a year later i find myseld getting married and moving ..uprooting from England to loveland.
now...the one thing i had to get straight in my own mind ......the pace of life here....its slooooow!
there is not a lot to do or see, the arts and music are represented well, in august they have a corn roast
well......
hicksville??
not at all....i was just looking at it with the mentality of a city dweller, which is odd really as i grew up on a farm in the middle of nowhere myself, and most of my adult life i have craved the solitude of open space with few people....
loveland is something else
its a community
the street where i live, has such a mix of people, all very cool and interesting personalities, you just have to stop thinking 'city' when you visit loveland...and thats easy....just take a walk around....cycle...omg dont wait for a bus
hehe local services are not too good, if you find yourself at a bus stop.....take a tent and a thermos of coffee, schedules seem to be run using a sun-dial
there are many good cycle tracks around town...ive only explored around 30 miles of them, but some cool rides or walks around reservoirs, with the mountains a constant companion westward....
