Bank of Manitou Springs
by OlenaKyiv
Now it is not a bank, but a souvenir shop. Stays on its own, however, in old times, it was surrounded by other buildings. The check books, bank stamps, and other bank stuff you can see at Miramont Castle Museum, Manitou Springs, in the bedroom of priest’s mother, Marie Francolon de Beaulieu.
Town of art
by OlenaKyiv
Manitou Springs is very artistic town, there are many art shops with paintings, photos (unfortunately not many of those), metal and leather art works, pottery. Even some cars are art, like the one on the picture.
Crystal store
by OlenaKyiv
Go up Canon Ave, and not so far from Manitou Avenue you will see individual building with a store named Crystal (maybe it is renamed, I am not sure). The building has interesting paintings on both sides. I think you will like to take their pictures. I, frankly speaking, consider them as a good art work.
Manitou Springs--It's the water
by painterdave
"Frequently Missed....and FREE! The mineral spring"
At the north end of Manitou Springs is located a statue of an Indian whose vase releases real water. This mineral springs has been here for decades for the tourists to taste. Be sure and stop and take a taste. It is the last building on the right before going up the pass to Pike's Peak.
"Another view"
This used to be an old souvenir/curio shop, but as you can see time has marched on and profit margins, didn't. Thank goodness that the owner has left the Indian Spring accessible to tourists.
