I was pleasantly surprised with the Laurelwood Condominiums. We stayed in #407 and were very happy with how clean the condo was. Newer condo's, nice large kitchen with a built in eating area, large living room with fireplace, t.v., couch and two chairs. Since this condo was more of a "studio" condo, the bed was tucked away in the corner and out of the way of the living space. Overall the condo met our expectations and was a very cozy and comfortable place to stay.
Unique Quality: Balcony had views of ski slope. Within walking distance to some restaurants and shopping. The condo is at the top of the very very steep hill and the views from the parking lot are fantastic! This condo had a full kitchen which included: a refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and all of the dishes and cookware you will need. The coffee maker will have coffee filters, but when we arrived there were no coffee filters and I had to go down to the office to get some. As far as any other condiments, bring your own because there are none provided.
Plenty of towels and soap in the bathroom. There is a hairdryer in the bathroom. There were plenty of extra blankets and pillows. There is free firewood at the bottom of the stairs to use if you want to start a fire. In our unit we had a nice flat screen television with full cable (HBO), there was also a DVD player. You can bring your own DVD's or rent them from the office.
There is a pool and hot tub, however, it is not on site, you have to walk to another property to use it. We did not use it so I cannot comment on it.
Overall I was very happy with the unit we stayed in. The units are individually owned so the decor and upkeep may vary from unit to unit.
I would recommend staying at the Laurelwood, whether you are there to ski in the winter or watch the changing of the aspens in the fall, it was a nice condo for a good price. We paid $75 for the evening we were there.
Directions: Top of the hill by Fanny Run.
This place rocks, & it's pretty cheap. It's slopeside too! A bit up from the bottom chairlift, so you can ski or walk into the village/lift.
It might suck in the winter walking back up, I dunno.
Unique Quality: You get to use the pool & hot tub at the next condo over.
All units have coffee maker AND grinder, TV w/VCR etc.
Directions: across from (parking) Lot 10
