What kind of weather can we expect in Steamboat Springs at that time of the year and the surrounding area? Thanks for you help....traveling from Deeeeep in Cajun country...Bon Temps, mon Chez!
Most of the time the weather in October in Colorado is very pleasant. That said, we usually get our first big snow in October so be prepared for anything. Typical October weather would be cool, sunny days (50-60's) and chilly nights (20's-30's) - and the occasional snow.
Whether you are headed to Steamboat Springs in the summer OR winter; don't forget to pack your swimsuit because practically every hotel and condominium has a heated outdoor pool and/or hot tub. Enjoying the warm water while it's only 20 degrees (F) outside is quite invigorating. After being in the hot tub for while, jump into the snow to cool-off, then jump back into the hot tub. The feeling is awesome as your whole body tingles from the temperature change...
