Catered Chalets - Steamboat's Hidden Gem
This was one of the best family vacation locations we have ever stayed in. For years we have stayed in condos and hell-hotels and finally we took the plunge and spent big for a catered chalet operated by Moving Mountains. The biggest surprise was that it didn't work out as expensive as we had anticipated, and the vacation experience itself erased any doubts on day 2.
A catered chalet is a luxury rental home that comes with a staff of three who cook for you, drive you around and make every aspect of your vacation so relaxing that finally a vacation with the kids is actually relaxing. We are hooked and plan to come back this year. The food was divine, the freedom to all be able to relax was priceless. The fact that we were in Steamboat was like the icing on the cake.
