Funtastic - powder tree runs
Ski the 'Chutes' and the 'Gates' (Gate A, B, C, and D.....some of the best terrain on the mountain.) Steamboat is a great vacation spot in Colorado for those who are looking to get away from the glitz, frills, and tourist feel of Vail and Aspen. Steamboat is a true 'western-style' town that carries with it a nice down to earth atmosphere. Soaking in the natural hot springs after a long day of powder skiing.
A group of my friends and I made the long, long drive from Texas to Colorado for College Ski Week. The mountain was overrun by college kids, most of them Texans, and musicians who performed during the week. I did more drinking than skiing but it was a whole lot of fun!
My brother was one of the musicians featured that week.
