Storm Meadows Condominiums: If you are traveling with a large group (four or more people), renting a condominium can be a very good deal. Condos are usually larger than your typical hotel room, which allows everyone to spread out after a hard day's riding down the mountain. For our 2002 Snowboard Trip, we stayed at a condo at Storm Meadows Condominiums, which is managed by East West Resorts (see 'more info' section below for contact info). These condos are owned by people who typically vacation in the area, but lease out their condos to other travelers when they are not there. So, you have to be somewhat comfortable with the feeling of 'staying at someone's house.' This picture shows the kitchen area, never mind the dork with the beer...
We landed a deal for four people staying five days with four-day lift tickets at $460 (US Dollars) per person.

Unique Quality: Storm Meadows is a Ski-in/Ski-out facility with many amenities such as: outdoor heated pool, outdoor hot tubs, dry sauna, gym (weights & cardiovascular machines with lockers/showers). Inside the condo units, you will find full kitchens, dining areas, gas fireplaces, televisions and various sleeping arrangements to fit your needs. Within the building there are laundry facilities. Shuttle service is FREE and provided by Steamboat Springs Transit (SST) from Storm Meadows down to the ski village. As for the view, it depends on which side of the building you are located on: Mountainside or Parking lot side. If you get something on the Mountainside, your view will incorporate the ski mountain and the ski village.
