JVC Winter Park Jazz Festival
"Winter Park Jazz Festival"
Every year, one of the locations of the JVC Jazz Festival is Winter Park, Colorado. Winter Park is one of Denverite's favorite ski destinations. High in the Rockies (9000 feet elevation), on highway 40, the resort is a fine location for the two day festival.
Concert goers get comfortable on the hillside with blankets, chairs, tents, and huge picnics. Vendors sell a large assortment of foods and beverages.
Music starts at 11:00 am and lasts past 6 pm. Michael McDonald, Saturday's wrap up performer, was accompanied by a raucaus thunder storm and a deluge of hail.
"BWB - Headliners of Saturday's lineup"
BWB; Rick Braun, Kirk Whalum and Norman Brown, rocked Saturday's crowds as the sky began to cloud over.
Mindi Abair played a wailing sax, much to the delight of the males in the audience! I've never seen as many men clustering around the front of the stage as for this very sexy performer.
