How to make a ski/snowboard trip authentic

Absolutely wonderful!!! Rates depend on the season but are almost always around 20$ a night. I set off for Winter Park thinking that I'd only spend a minimum amount of time at the Hostel.. I fell in love with it. The rooms are on the top floor and are all connected house style, by a kitchen and a living room. There are about 3-4 double beds in each of about 4 rooms. The living room is fully furnished with leather couches, easy chairs and a full entertainment center. There is a huge oak dinner table with about 8 settings and a kitchen with every pot, pan and utensil you might need. There are two refridgerators for guests to keep their food in and there is a locked shed where they can keep their gear. There are six individual toilet and shower rooms so access to the facilities is hardly ever inconvenient. I stayed at the hostel for 7 days and made friends with people from 4 different countries. If you want to have an experience at Winter Park that meets all of your expectations of what a trip out west to a ski resort should be, stay at the hostel.

Unique Quality: Great view of the mountains and the town. Hostel is located about 5 miles from the resort in a small town called Fraser. The train station is about two blocks away from the hostel. There is a shuttle to Winter Park resort that picks people up just accross the street from the hostel. The managers usually enforce a quiet hour policey at about 10 pm. but there is no lock out time. Guests are provided with the code to the lock so they can come and go at any time and always have the security of the alarm system. Walking distance from every service you might need. Locals are almost always willing to give you a lift the five miles into town if you don't have the patience to wait for the shuttle. A great place to take a holiday!!
