The Crowne Plaza, part of the Holiday Inn chain, is located just off the Interstate highway system, very close to downtown Hartford. It is nothing out of the ordinary, just a basic comfortable hotel with the usual amenities - including, in my case, free internet access service to deal with the deluge of office email !

A very nice breakfast area, comfortable rooms and within about 10-15 minutes walkiing distance of the impressive downtown attractions of Hartford. I paid US$156 per night, including taxes.
