MGM Grand at Foxwoods: A very nice stay

Our stay here was quite by accident as we didn't have plans to Visit Foxwoods on Christmas day, but after spending time with the family and just wanting some alone time we decided we wanted to drive to Foxwoods for a little gaming.

As a Dreamcard holder I receive all sorts of inticements to get me to stay at the hotel and so I decided to make a quick call and find out availability and rate for our Christmas night stay. To my surprise, the rates were very reasonable and the CR even mentioned that we could stay at the new MGM Grand for the same price as a room at the Grand Pequot Tower where we have stayed on various occassions. Since we hadn't yet stayed at the MGM we decided to go ahead and book our one night stay there.

We arrived quite late that night and upon arrival we valet parked the car and proceeded inside. The lobby is quite stunning as is the reception area. We checked in and although we had booked a King, there were none available and off to a double Queen room it was.

The room was quite spaious with two queen beds, floor to ceiling window overlooking the mountains, nice chair, desk and credenza with a flat screen tv and mini bar. The bathroom was quite nice with double sinks, "rain" shower room and separate toilet.

The bed were amazing and very comfy. The hotel and our room was exactly what we needed, considering we spent about 6 hours in it.

As an added bonus your valet parking is included in your stay.

Foxwoods Resort & Casino: Gamble , shop , and stay

On our way to Maine, we decided to stay at foxwoods resort & casino. It was really nice, we stayed for a few nights, and walked around shopping, since my brother and i were too young to go into the casino. The shops were really kool . A lot of native american stuff because foxwoods is on a native american reserve, and owned and run by native americans. Everyone here was very nice and we had a great time !

Beautful lanscaping, and amazing archetecture
