A stress-free stay at the Mystic Comfort Inn
by TripAdvisor Member NE_Drummer
From check-in to check-out, we had a very relaxing stay at the Comfort Inn - Mystic. We stayed there for 4 nights. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and bright. Just about everything we wanted to see at Mystic was only a short hop and jump. Their continental breakfast was very good which included make your own hot waffles, pastries, coffee, juices, yogurts, fruits, and more. We would definitely stay at the Comfort Inn again.
Convenient, comfortable

We stayed here overnight on our way from Boston to NYC. This place looks pretty new and is very spic and span overall. It was not a deal, price wise, but not sure how it competes in the area. No complaints of any kind. Very convenient to the Nautalis(sp) sub museum and Old Mystic Seaport.
Comfort Inn, Comfortable and CLEAN!
by A TripAdvisor Member
we had looked into several different hotels in Mystic, not wanting to spend 299 dollars at mohegan sun, where we were going to see a concert the last weekend in July. The staff couldnt have been more friendly, and helpful with directions and suggestions. The rooms were bright and very very clean (which is what we were most concerned about). I know if we go back, we will stay at the comfort Inn again.
There is no pool at this nice hotel.

Clean rooms, friendly staff, excellent continental breakfast. There is no pool. We were sent across the street (take your car) to a very dirty Days Inn outdoor pool. My sons begged to go in, and then became sick with vomitting twenty four hours later. Big mistake. Nice hotel, but forget about swimming. Great location. Close to all.
Horrible Hotel!

My husband and I stayed at this hotel on a Monday in September 2005. When we drove up to the front of the building, it looked very nice. We were then given our room number and told to drive around the building to door #3. Doors #1 and #2 were glass french doors. Door #3 was in the back of the building. It was a single, metal door that looked like it was entering the back service door of a restaurant. It was not as nice looking as the doors on the front of the building. Upon entering the door, the hotel smelled musty and smoky. Our room was on the first floor. There was no mattress pad on the bed. The sheets were very thin. The mattress was not very comfortable at all. There was hair in the bathtub along with a big black bug. The noise from upstairs was horrendous. We could hear every step the person above us took. It kept us up until midnight when we finally called the front desk to change rooms. He brought the keys to our room and told us that the noise in the hotel is really bad. He told us that he gets complaints all the time of people hearing other people talking in the next room and hearing people walk around upstairs. He said that they can even hear the people walking around above the check in desk. So, he confirmed that the problem was a frequent one. If we return to Mystic again, we most definitely will not return to this hotel. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. There is a Hilton in Mystic right near Mystic Village and the Aquarium that looked very nice from the outside. We will investigate that one next time.
Decent Hotel & Excellent Service
by TripAdvisor Member rabnala
My wife and I and a friend stayed here for two nights on 17 & 18 October and were very pleased with the hotel. Decent sized rooms in the main block and excellent service from the hotel staff. The breakfasts were great, tons to eat (use the waffle machine - it’s a hoot). Small downside is that the lobby area where the breakfasts are served can get a bit busy if everyone on a tour bus decides to have breakfast at the same time! The hotel is a bit out of the way and it’s a 25 min walk to Mystic Seaport (another 15 to Mystic town). Obviously its quicker if you take the car but after a day’s driving we wanted to stretch our legs.
Olde Mystic Village (a man made collection of shops & restaurants) is about 10 mins walk away.
During our stay, the power went off both nights due to high winds (just as we were getting ready to go out and eat) but the staff were excellent and came round with glow sticks & torches. While I don’t think we will go back to Mystic, I would have no problem staying at the Comfort Inn again.
We had a perfect weekend!

Four of us stayed at the Mystic Comfort Inn this past weekend for a Scrapbooking event. From check in to check out, we couldn't have been happier with the accommodations and the staff. The rooms were clean, comfortable and surprisingly (for a budget hotel), nicely decorated! We were so happy that our request for adjoining rooms was granted. Little things such as how the beds were turned down and how the towels were folded were a nice touch. The lobby/eating area were also very clean and nicely decorated. The complimentary breakfast was GREAT! So much to choose from. Coffee (decent!), hot chocolate, tea and fruit were available at all times for guests. The staff were all so pleasant and helpful. Each staff member that we came in contact with genuinely seemed to want to help you! Since we were attending the event, we didn't spend much time exploring Mystic so we are definitely planning another trip there and can't wait to stay at the Comfort Inn!

Get a suite!

We stayed in a suite at the Comfort Inn for Valentines Day. The suite (and the hotel) far exceeded our expectations. Very large, clean, comfortable room with many amenities including a Jacuzzi (a little small for 2 people but still very enjoyable). The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We are looking forward to staying here again.
