My stay at this hotel was a rather pleasant one;the food was great, the facilities are clean and very well maintained and are replete with all the conveniences and amenities of any well maintained modern hotel. As for the services, all services were rendered in a conscientious, courteous, timely, competent and in a very professional manner;no fiascoes.Based on all of the afforementioned, I would highly recommend this facility.
Unique Quality: This facility has a fine pool(not the type used in the Olympics-hahaha)but ,on an excruciatingly infernal summer day,it helps;it will cool one down. The accommodations are very good and the service is always rendered in a respectful and timely manner.
Directions: Exit I-95 in New Haven,go west on Chapel ST ,t-r and go north on York Street and turn left and you will have been there[the hotel];it is adjacent to the corner of York St And Whalley Ave.
I found the hotel prices in New Haven to be quite expensive. This Holiday Inn was more reasonably priced.
The hotel was "okay", but nothing special. I get the sense it considers itself to be a 3 or 4 star hotel but I think a more correct rating would be high 2-star or low 3-star.
I'd stay here again but if I found something else in the same price range, I'd probably want to try it.
Unique Quality: One great feature is that it is right beside Yale University.
