Don't be fooled by the name "Westin". Although Starwood hotels (Westin, W, Sheraton, etc.) are well known for their quality services and great facilities, this one seem to consistantly fail in every catagory. This hotel does not manage to hire enough professional staff members. I've been ignored by staff members and even a manager at this hotel. They don't keep promises either. "We'll pick you up with our shuttle bus in 10 minutes" easily becomes over 40 minutes and often over an hour. It's very frustrating when you have to wait for a shuttle over an hour in the cold weather. The room service is terrible, too. The quality of food is low and when you ask for a turkey club sandwich without mayo, there will be a sandwich with extra mayo deliver to your room. There is a club lounge on the 10th floor but it's often closed without any notice.
So what can you do? Book yourself a room at the Marriott Stamford instead. It'll save you time and away from troubles.

Staying the Night after a Wedding
The Stamford Hilton was formerly the Westin. We chose to stay ere primarily due to the fact that Liz's cousin was getting married here and has reserved a block of suites for the family & guests. The hotel was convieniently located right of of I-95. The hotel was a nice size and very spacious. The valet parking was a bit of a hassle trying to find the attendant to leave the keys. Our room was on the 9th floor and very nice. The king size bed was very comfortable and had nice bedding. The room itself was a nice size with a bedroom, chair, nice TV, bathroom and large closet.
The price for this hotel was perfect at only $89. The valet parking was $15; a bit steep in my opinion. If I was to find this rate again; I would consider staying here in the future.
Unique Quality: The pool area was on the small size but we weren't here for the pool.
