The Fairfield Inn at Bradley was an interesting experience. We checked in about 9pm. Had our room ready. A manager did our reservation but a new person/maybe trainee gave us our key and such. They arranged our wakeup call for 415am and also shuttle service at 515. Turns out that shuttle took 6 of us. We had booked the cheapest AAA rate for a king bed so it was 5 more than the cheapest rate available. But for $75+tax I thought it a great value when they allowed us to leave our car there for the night.
After check in we went upstairs to our room. This is an old style motel more than anything. Three floors of doors that open to outside hallways. When we arrived at our room we found the door unlocked, open and propped open. This was slightly worrisome. Although we searched the room and just went about our evening with the locks all set.
Not the most comfortable bed I’ve had in a hotel and that was disappointing but it was good enough to have me sound asleep 5 minutes after getting into bed.
Basically this hotel is clean, basic, a bed and a shower with good service and decent rates while still getting a qualifying stay from a major chain.
