incredible weekend!!
by A TripAdvisor Member
my wife and I spent the weekend at The Bellmoor for her birthday gift. What an incredible hotel. The staff went out of their way to make you feel welcome. Everything was first class. The Breakfast was to die for. Great coffee 24 hours a day. Had a couples massage and reflexology. Oh my God was that awesome!! Can't wait to go back!!! We fell in love all over again. If you are looking for a great weekend getaway, you want to go to The Bellmoor.
Far and away, the best in Rehoboth....but Expensive

This is the second time I've stayed at the Bellmoor. Having stayed at numerous other large and small hotels and B&B's in Rehoboth, this one is without comparison. Before the Bellmoor, you were stuck with middle-of-the-road hotels at best. This was badly needed. The feeling of the main hotel building is a little business-like and sterile, but the "Garden Rooms" are fantastic. You open your door to a wonderful lush central garden courtyard. Excellent breakfast, great service, and suprisingly good spa. Gay-friendly. Very comfortable rooms. Of course, you pay out the nose for all of this. Very well worth it.
Nice but over-rated, overpriced

We recently spent a weekend at the Bellmoor. We had heard wonderful things about this unique hotel. Based on these reviews we received and based on the price, we were expecting the Ritz Carlton type rooms, beds and service.
The good:
(1) The service was wonderful. The hotel employees are very nice and they go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of.
(2) The spa was wonderful. I received a massage there that was pricey, but magnificent.
(3) The breakfast - there is a breakfast buffet each morning and it is delicious.
The bad:
(1) Our room was in the garden area, not inside the main hotel. I would not recommend staying in the garden area. As the garden area is the older part of the Bellmoor, our room was not even close to being worth the price.
(2) Our room had bugs in it - not many, but you wouldn't expect that in a 5 star hotel.
(3) The room was small with two full size beds that weren't that comfortable. Having stayed in Ritz Carlton's before, these beds don't even compare.
All in all, this is a nice hotel. Just make sure to stay in the main hotel rather than the garden room. And, as for price, don't have the expectation that you are going to be staying at a star hotel. This hotel is unique and the service is great, but for the price?????
Beautiful Hotel

We stayed at the Bellmoor in July of 2005 during "Family time at the Bellmoor".
At the time our daughter was 2 1/2.
The Hotel was beautiful and the staff was wonderful.
The staff went out of their way to be friendly to us and our daughter. She received a great welcome childrens gift. There were a few other children in the hotel. While the staff was wonderful, beware of other guests if you you have small children.
The other guest were mostly "wealthy" couples without children. During the awesome breakfast buffet we received several glances from other guests trying to quietly read the paper. Other times at the family pool we got stares from other guests without children, they seemed not to appreciate a 2 year old having fun at the pool. Aside from that I highly recommend this hotel.
The location was great, close to everything.
Its 2 blocks from the beach - a long 2 blocks when you have small children.
Spent part of our honeymoon here... and came back 4 months later!

My husband and I went to Rehoboth shortly after we got married and stayed in one of the club suites and enjoyed three days of pampering at the Bellmoor Spa. Our experience was more than wonderful. The room we stayed in was spacious and luxurious. The staff was helpful and friendly, and the spa was amazing.
We liked it so much we returned to celebrate my birthday and stayed in the Jr. Suite. Not quite as spacious as the club suite but still quite nicely appointed.
The breakfast is catered (no on-site kitchen) and has a good selection of hot items (pancakes, eggs, waffles, etc.), pastries, cereals and beverages.
Would highly recommend to anyone.
Wonderful weekend in beautiful hotel

We went to Rehobeth beach on a whim and first looked at hotels in the area. When they all seemed like Motel 6 standard or less we decided to google b&b's. There we stumbled on to The Bellmoor. We booked a Deluxe King room and off we went. When you arrive the outside of the hotel is nothing spectacular but as soon as you enter the lobby, beauty comes alive. The furnishings are of rich colors accented with dark wood chairs and flooring, big rugs everywhere creating such a warm and inviting feeling. The staff was extrememly friendly and accomodating. Our room was gorgeous, with luxury linens, down comforters, comfy bed and fluffy pillows. The bathroom was huge. Everything was spotless! You are two blocks from the boardwalk so close enough to walk. There are also several restaurants within walking distance.
The breakfast is amazing, they have everything you could possibly want to eat. The afternoon tea and cookies is wonderful as well. We can't wait to go back!
great romantic vacation

spent a nice romantic weekend here. Stayed in one of the "club suites", which also gives you access to a very nice sitting room that is also stocked with soft drinks and snacks - came in handy since we arrived late at night & didn't feel like going out for dinner. Only minor complaints about the room - the room was large, therefore the TV was so far away from the bed it looked liked a small portable. A larger screen or 2nd TV would have been nice. Our neighbors turned on their jacuzzi about 12:30 AM - it sounded like a shop vac was running next door! Besides those minor annoyances, everything was great. Wonderful breakfast with fresh made omelletes (and any other type of eggs), fresh fruit, danish, bagels, etc. Enjoyed the spa services - my wife said her manicure and pedicure were good, but not the best she's had. We both had massages (again, good, not great), facials and body treatments - these were both great.
Staff was very welcoming, helpful & obliging, both in the spa and the hotel. We both agree we would return again.
Great Relaxing Stay

What a great hotel and city! The location was nice, about a block from restaurants and stores and about 3 blocks from the beach and boardwalk. The check-in impressed me as from the moment we entered and said we were checking in they new our name. Nice public rooms with sun room, library with dark wood and fire place, two pools and breakfast area with good food selection plus afternoon snack. The room was large with pretty funishings and a nicely layed out bathroom. Everything seemed clean, although I did find a spot on the sheets, hate the extra "pretty" pillows on the bed and there was only the comforter and one sheet. As I am picky I would not let these things stop you from coming as it is hopefully an area and hotel my husband and I would like to return to some day.
Also, if you are looking for a good restaurant try Fin's with wonderful crab dip and bagle chips. The hotel staff recommended this restaurant and it turned out to be a great place for dinner our first night.

Stayed here for a mother-daughter trip and loved it. The room was quaint and decorated beautifully in the garden. Lots of places to sit and enjoy the beautiful foliage. Enjoyed the pools and the proximity to the beach. Breakfast was terrific as well as PM tea. Staff is excellent and remember you by name and your likes and dislikes. We've already booked a return trip for 2006 and will stay in the main house this year.
We liked the concierge recommendation of Confusious for asian food and ventured to Bethany Beach for Bethany Blues the other night. The concierge was knowledgeable on the entire area and seemed to know everyone in town.
