Brandywine
Basically, this is a two-storey motel that should be marketed under the Holiday Inn Express banner. The rooms are a bit aged and on the shabby side of needing a renovation. On the plus side, they offer free high-speed wireless internet, free detergent for the coin operated washer and dryer on site and good access for highway 202. The biggest detractor was that the maids didn’t seem to vacuum the floor very often (or at all).
Unique Quality: There are no fitness facilities on site (other than the pool) but if you ask at the front desk you’ll receive a card allowing you to access the facilities at the Jewish Community Center (JCC) of Delaware. A new card is required each day as it is taken upon admission to the JCC. The facilities are first rate with 50+ pieces of equipment conveniently located directly behind the Holiday Inn. Fitness instructors are available to get you started or answer questions. Open from 6am on weekdays and 8am on weekends, it closes at 9:45pm on weekdays and 5:45 Friday-Sunday.
