Delray Beach
by TRimer
Check out the beach and wander downtown Delray. Atlantic Avenue is made for walking, browsing and soaking up the ambiance of a street that has become a model within Palm Beach County. The downtown offers a mix of restaurants, antique shops, gift shops, galleries and clothing boutiques.
consistently excellent food and service
by nicolaitan about Ke'e Grill
This vaguely tropical-decorated restaurant opened 5-7 years ago with a cutting edge menu and service and immediately attracted a young hip crowd of local and visiting trend-setters. Over the years the crowd has grayed considerably and early-bird menus have appeared. However, the consistently well-prepared food and service have not been compromised one bit and Ke'e Grill remains a great restaurant. The martinis are above average, although some of the martini menu items are a bit bizarre particularly the chocolate Van Gogh which is not recommended. Portion size is more than adequate. Reservations needed year round- this place is not a secret. volcano appetizer, all the fish dishes, steak and pork chop entrees are all excellent.

time while we were there making daytrips North to West Palm Beach, and
south to Fort Lauderdale and Miami.
Boca Raton / Boca Raton beach is located 26 miles south of Palm Beach,
40 miles north of Miami, 21 miles north of Fort Lauderdale ......

"The Rats Mouth"

well maintained cities, home to ladies who lunch and
SUV driving yuppies. The city's name literally translates
as "rat's mouth", but you'd be hard-pressed to find rodents
in this area's fancy digs ......

"Minimal Nightlife"
If you're looking for funky, wacky, and eclectic, look
elsewhere. Boca is a luxurious resort community
and, for some, the only place worth staying in South
Florida. Although Jerry Seinfeld's TV parents retired
to the fictional Del Boca Vista, Boca's just too pricey
to be a retirement community. With minimal nightlife,
entertainment in Boca is restricted to leisure sports,
excellent dining, and upscale shopping ......
