During the High Season this year (Jan. Feb. 2006) hotels are astranomical (averaging $300) per night for just average rooms). I happened upon this Motel that is located in a fantastic spot, and quite a bargin considering that hotels are really quite expensive here because so many places are still covered in blue tarps, so those that are up and running are getting maximum prices. Fortunately I searched the internet before I left and secured this room. It is located on Hillsboro Blvd., and for those of you who are unfamiliar with this area of Florida, it is just across the street from Boca Raton. It is a major access, next to a Walgreens on one side, a Dennys in front, the passenger train station (very small and quaint) to the immediate west of the facility, and a Bank of America within walking distance. This is as good a bargain as I have found for this time of the year this season. It is actually called Deerfield Beach, Fl., but it is the northern most border of the city of Deerfield Bch. I was able to book the room on Hotels.com (also Travelocity) for $114.00 per night. The rooms are vintage 1980, but they are clean, and the staff is extraordinarily friendly. Granted, there are many very fine, modern hotels here, but $300 a night is quite high. You can come by train and step right into the motel. I have stayed here 3 nights and have been quite satisfied. Good for an economical stay.
Unique Quality: An elegant pool area, good Continental (complimentary) breakfast. Great place to be if you want to be in the Boca-Palm Beach Area.
Directions: The edge of an office park
