Courtyard by Marriott Bradenton Sarasota/Riverfron
The Courtyard by Marriott Bradenton Sarasota/Riverfront is one of the few hotel located within easy walking distance of Old Main Street in downtown Bradenton. In fact, the only other inns around downtown are the Londoner B&B and the flea trap trio known as the Kentucky Colonel Motel, the Royal Motel, and the Blue Boy Motel (I'm not making this up).
We ended up at the nice, modern courtyard by accident when we tried visiting Anna Maria Island or one of the keys further south without a hotel reservation on a busy holiday weekend. No luck finding a hotel, so we check in downtown Sarasota, and the very limited options there were booked, too. What's up with cities with no hotels?
The Courtyard was great, and as I mentioned, within walking distance of the four or five bars and numerous small restaurants that make up Old Main Street Bradenton. Also, the price was right, at just $120 on a busy holiday weekend for an enormous suite with two queen beds, a view of the pool, and a separate living room with kitchenette. Parking is abundant, and the hotel has a bar, restaurant, fitness center, and plenty of meeting space. The hotel has just 153 rooms spread across five floors.

Right on the Riverfront
Beautiful structure, several floors to choose from, Mediterranean-style decor, lots of nice features, we stayed here on vacation.
Conveniently located to downtown, stores, pavillion, Convention Ctr., shopping, etc.
We would definately recommend this hotel to travelers.
Complimentary newspaper per room: USA Today, coffee, toiletries, min-bar in room, etc. Very nice*
Safety deposit box offered upon check-in.
Unique Quality: A splendid view of the river runs lateral to the hotel, with beautiful pool facilities to accomodate, bar, etc.
Lush landscaping, fountain and ducks at entrance*
