Hi,
Looking to spend some time at Clearwater Beach and would really enjoy a nice place with a boardwalk along the beach... looking for nice place for two, perhaps more quiet than others, if that's possible there. Thanks!
I spent a week there last year at the Marriott just over the bridge in Sand Key. I enjoyed my stay but was a little disappointed with how little there is at Clearwater Beach. The boardwalk was only really busy on a Saturday night, the rest of the time it was quiet, just a few restaurants so they could charge what they wanted.
It had a beautiful beach, and very friendly locals. There were numerous hotels on the beach of all price ranges-motel type to the large new one that was baing built when I was there.
I was glad that i had a car to get around.

When it comes to the weather in the greater Tampa Bay area, summer is the norm. Make sure you bring clothes for warm weather as you are almost guaranteed several temperate days. Toward the end of October, however, there are a couple days that might actually fool you. On the night before I flew it, it dropped to 62! It was quickly back up to 75 the following day, but make sure you bring a windbreaker just in case for the evenings or a cold day.
