Super Nice hotel, Great choice!

I read the great tripadvisor reviews and had to check out this hotel. It is a super clean hotel that has very friendly employees that will help you with anything you need. We traveled with a 6 month old baby, and our room couldn't have been nicer. We had a fridge and microwave in the room and a crib was delivered free of charge. We didn't pay extra for anything! The room had a private balcony overlooking the gulf. It was a great room! It was the cheapest rate on the beach we could find, and it was a LOT nicer than the Ramada that was up the street. We wanted to stay a third night, but had to go to the Ramada since the Sea Wake was booked up. It wasn't as clean, their rooms weren't as large, smaller beds, and they just weren't as nice. The pool/deck area at the Sea Wake is smaller, but it is nice. The beach area is also pretty small, but a lot of the hotels that are up the street have no beach frontage at all! They have a seawall. The Holiday Inn has a nice sized beach right next door to the Sea Wake, and if you want to walk 3-4 blocks west, you can get to the perfect white sand beaches and the pier. No complaints, I would stay at that hotel every time. Great for families, or people who don't want to be around 1000 other people. If you want the ultra fancy hotel with the huge beach, stay somewhere else and pay a lot more. If you want a real nice smaller hotel with great service, super clean rooms that compare to any of the more expensive hotels, and nice facilities with the huge beach a short walk away, stay at the Best Western Sea Wake. They have been rated #1 on tripadvisors.com for a long time for a reason. A+ Thank you for a great vacation!
Great Hotel, Great Views, Great Waterfront

We found out about this hotel from Trip Advisor and agree with all the good reviews. The rooms were newly remodeled, good size, clean, with a nice bright decor. The views of the Gulf from our balcony were excellent especially at sunset. The pool and deck area was also fairly new, clean and good size and led right to the beach. The staff was friendly and efficient. We got a discounted rate (because the parking lot and lobby were under renovation). It wasn't a problem, AND gave us one of the best deals we've ever had on a hotel. We'd definitely recommend it and hope to return on out!

Great hotel, this was a repeat visit, and they were doing a little work improving the lobby for the summer. Only disappointment was we didn't see any Dolphins swim past, we saw loads last vist at the same time of year (February)
Great Place to Stay!

Would recommend you stay at this hotel if you are planning a trip to the Clearwater Beach area. Like the other reviews, we found the rooms large, bright & clean and the staff very friendly. It has a nice pool and beach area and the sunsets are beautiful from the "gulfview" side.
It is within walking distance of many other restaurants, clubs, a Walgreens and many souvenier shops. They were still doing a few minor renovations, but it looks great! The guests ranged from young families to retirees. While we were there it was just the start of Spring Break, but I don't think this hotel will be over run with college kids as it is a little more expensive and tucked around the corner of the beach on the inlet to the harbor. Have a great trip!

This was my first visit to Clearwater Beach, and the hotle was great.
The entire buliding, including the pool and rooms were very clean. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who was staying in the clearwater area.
Just Returned!

We had a wonderful five-night stay. The hotel is well-maintained and the staff really care about the guests. Free parking was available and reserved for guests only - very important at a beach hotel! Our room was spacious, bright and comfortable - with a microwave, refrigerator and safe! We had breakfast in the restaurant three mornings - once at a table on the beach. The morning newspaper was at our door and a small coffeepot was in the dressing area. We did take a small concern to the attention of the front desk and got an immediate response. The folks there were also very helpful and knowledgeable and able to give us directions and point us to an outlet for a special purchase. We plan to go back and have made our reservations for next year!
nice place no beach

I went there based on the reviews I read here and left (yesterday) somewhat let down. First off the beach is non exsistand in front of this property. I know that is not there fault, but when you think of Clearwater you think long wide powdery sand beaches...it was none of the above. I booked through expedia and thought I was getting two queen beds for the four of us but alas weh had a king and a pullout couch, they had no room to move us to. The renevations are done and they are great. The resturant food was excellent and the staff very nice but service was a bit on the slow side. The pool water was too warm the first two days but got better. Overall a nice place but not one I feel the need to go back to time and again.
Not much of a Beach!!!

Just got back from Clearwater Beach today. This was our first experience staying at this motel. The beach is very small...not even close to what the pictures look like. We chose this motel due to price, looked nice, and that it was on the beach so we wouldn't have to pay or try to find parking...but we ended up traveling to a beach everyday that we were there. As previously mentioned, the motel sits on a channel...not the Gulf of mexico. We reserved a king non-smoking room and got one, but it was a handicaped room. The room did look like they did just redecorated it, but it still had some 1-2"+ holes in the walls near the refridgerator and microwave in the main room. Overall, I wished I'd paid an extra $20/day and stayed at a nicer motel taht actually sits on the Beach.
Nice and clean place to stay.

The hotel was very nice and clean. Housekeeping did a great job. We had a king suite and it was great. The staff were very nice as well. They have a small beach area but I wasn't impressed with the beaches at Clearwater to begin with. Overall we had a nice stay there. I won't go back to Clearwater (once you have been to Destin and Panama City beaches Clearwater doesn't compare)but if I did I would stay there again.
Great hotel

We had a wonderful stay. The hotel just completed an extensive remodeling, including the rooms, and everything was great. The staff was very friendly and very knowledgable about things to do throughout the area, including Tampa. Our room was very large with a balcony overlooking the street, yet was very quiet at night. We hope to return here next year.
