Clermont is just outside Orlando (~1/2 hr - 1 hr drive) and is about the same distance to Disney World as Orlando (but probably a shorter drive when you account for traffic). It's certainly not a major tourist destination, but if you're in the area, there are some interesting sites worth checking out, including:
Citrus Tower - get a great view of the surrounds and learn about Florida's citrus industry.
Presidents Hall of Fame - everything you want to know about US presidents.
Lakeridge Winery - why not indulge in some wine tasting while you're here? Sample the unique grape varieties that are grown in Florida.
Lake Louisa State Park and Crooked River Preserve - both a short drive away. Have a picnic, go for a hike, do some birdwatching.
And, of course, treat yourself to some frozen custard at Ritter's on a hot, sunny Florida day!
