Great time
by A TripAdvisor Member
We visited the Regal Palms from Nov 6 to Nov 10. The accomodations were great; very clean and spacious. The pool area was nice and clean and very relaxing. We discovered that on the weekend the resort offers free food and refreshments in the pool area. The staff were friendly and helpful.
We did find that the resort was a little out of the way if you wanted to be close to restaurants and bars.
Had a great time. If you go, say hi to the pool chef....he's fine
thanks
Brilliant, highly recommend!!!

Regal palms is a brand new complex and it shows as the house we stayed in was spotless. The location is great (about 10 mins from all theme parks) and it was just so much better to get back to your own home after a long day rather than some hotel room - probably worked out cheaper aswell which is a bonus. Going back soon! Also note rooms are very spacious and we quite easily fitted 7 people in a 3 bedroom house.
Great Value. Super clean.

We recently stayed at the Regal Palm and are planning a return trip for Christmas to take our child to Disney for the first time. The 3br villa we rented was absolutely clean, which is great if you are traveling with a child who spends a lot of time on the floor. All the bedrooms were spacious. Kitchen is fully equipped. W/D. Great pool! Not much around. A Publix within walking distance but not much else. Nice and quiet, especially after a day of chaos at the parks.
Excellent! Had a great time!

We loved this place! We stayed for 10 days, 10/12/04 - 10/22/04. Yes, we had to buy our own stuff like dishwashing and laundry soap, but we expected that because we were staying in a 5 bedroom home and not a hotel. The only problem we had was that Expedia's mapping gave us the wrong directions and sent us down some dirt road that wound up being closed but with some help from the nice ladies at Regal Palm we found our way there, everything was super after that. The house was beautiful, the pool was great (if a little small), all in all just a wonderful time. We plan on going back and we WILL be staying here again!
excellent rental home

We just returned from 8 days at the Highland reserve 4 bedroom pool home. The house was absolutely beautiful. We had rented a 3 bedroom but were given a 4 bedroom 3 bath home. It was extremely clean, plenty of towels for 6 people, no washcloths or hand towels) We had no problems the entire stay. The only comment is watch out for racoons when you put the trash out, they seem to get into all the barrels. conveniently located, to bad there is no transportation provided, we had 4 young adults that couldn't drive a rental car, it would have been nice if some kind of bus or shuttle was avasialble, even for a fee!!. People we dealt with were very pleasant. I would recommend it to any of my friends. Just remember to bring trash bags and your own supplies, but it was a wonderful experience. Our air conditioner was unlocked so we could adjust it at our convenience, we actually found it to cool at the setting they had it set at and were able to adjust it. Thank you
Excellent place to stay

This place was excellent. We had a brand new condo with 2 floors, 4 bedrooms, 3 baths and all other amenities in April 2004. The persnonel was exceptionally helpful. What a beautiful place to stay at the price of a regular hotel. We look forward to returning in 2005.
Nice, but has some problems

This place is a joke! We arrived to check in, realizing that the designated check in office had been destroyed by the hurricanes in the weeks prior. We were never notified of this, somewhat confused, we were rerouted by a non-specific note that was posted on the door to go straight to the resort for the keys. We arrived at the resort searching for a check in office that basically didn't exist. We had to call the emergency phone number to find out where on the grounds the office was located, which ended up being in a model townhouse. After all of the confusion, we were given house keys to a villa. When we opened the door to the villa it was beautiful, but not what we had booked, it was much smaller than quoted. We decided that we really needed the larger villa that we had originally booked, we were traveling with a large group and we need more space. We went back to the office explaining that there must be a mistake. The girl at the desk was not accomidating, she stated that reservations was closed and we would have to call in the morning to get it cleared up. They claimed that because of the fact that I booked on Expedia, they were not liable for any confusion. (I even called the resort numerous times prior to the trip to confirm room layouts and sizes, also to add a spa and grill) At this point our group was tired and disappointed, we were traveling with children, it was getting late and we had an action packed vacation planned for Disney the next day. We decided that this situation was unacceptable and we wanted to talk to someone in management. Eventually, I was allowed to speak to a manager over the phone. The manager was more than accomidating and even "upgraded" our rental villa. The villa was much larger than we had booked but was in rough shape. It was outdated and had water damage. The garage was infested with cockroaches and was used by the resort to store grills in, because of this we were unable to make use of the garage. We were "upgraded" due to the fact that they were completely booked and this was the only villa available. I was sure to read all of the reviews on trip advisor for this resort before booking it, unfortunately some of the earlier reviews are still correct, and things need to be worked on. Our family would not waste our time and money at this resort in the future.

I loved this resort and the location is not that bad. Great staff - Bonnie was incredible, Jamie and a star as well. The pool was awesome and my kids had a ball. I have traveled the world and this will be a great Orlando destination spot in the future.
My family loved staying here

I concur with the past reviews. We booked through Expedia and followed the “late arrival” instruction and ran into the same frustration of the closed off-site check in. We, too, were not clear as to where the front desk was located in this complex. Nonetheless, we finally checked in, exhausted and all.
To our amazement, our booking for a 3 bdrm townhome turned up to be a beautiful 4 bdrm townhome with a king-sized master bedroom. 4br/3ba to be precise. The townhome was a little too warm for our liking but the management took care of that on the next day. While we were there, our phones never worked. Our family requested that the phones be fixed, but it seemed as though it was throughout the complex. The staff at the office was friendly in allowing us to use their phones.
The resort is a short 10-15 minutes drive to Disney World Resort area. The complex is new and still developing other phases. The pool area is nice with a lazy river and has a water slide. The clubhouse is still in the works and the restrooms were not convenient. However, the hot dogs & burgers on the weekends are a real plus.
Super WalMart just minutes from the resort and a local grocery store right on the corner. The resort was a perfect fit for our family that we had plenty of room, cable TV, ability to prepare our own food and relax and unwind from a busy ‘play day’. We found the townhome to be private and quiet. With each passing day, I’m sure this resort will come to be something very much desired. Our family recommends this resort & friendly staff.
