Daytona International Speedway

What a cool place! I don't really have any particular interest in racing, but I had the opportunity to visit the track when they were testing and when it was closed to the public. The place is huge and track is so long and high when you see it up close!
You can also pay to either have a driver drive you around the track or you can pay extra and drive your own car. I have never done it but I heard that it was a great experience and lots of fun. It cost about $200 I believe to have a driver with you in the car. It's probabaly more expensive to drive a car by yourself. But the track was defenitely a wonderful visit. They have track tours also everyday for $8.00 a person.
Historic House
by grandmaR about Rosario Ristorante
There were NO restaurants anywhere close, to the marina (our side of it - the Charthouse was close as the crow flies, but we'd have had to walk a couple of miles to get there by land) and the map they gave us which showed Rosarios (which was the closest off the property from where we were on C dock) was NOT where it was shown on the map. It was a long walk, and first we went several blocks in the wrong direction.
This time (2004) we were on H dock so the restaurant was across the street. The marina lady who checked us in recommended that gentlemen should wear a shirt with a collar (i.e. not just a t-shirt). The restaurant proved to be in a small B&B or 'historical' Inn (with several varieties of aluminum siding on the outside, antique sideboards and lace curtains), and was Italian. The dining room was cramped, but the walls were light. The food was OK but a bit expensive. I had lasagna.
Lunch: $4-$7 / Dinner:$11-$17
The URL shows a picture of the chef and is an article about the owners from the local paper.

Spring Break...What can you say?

"Leaving the ice for the sun...."
Spring Break is something I truly look forward to every year. I've gone on Spring Break every year since my Senior year of high school. This year, I made my second pilgrimige to Daytona Beach. I have a close friend that goes to school down there, so all I have to do is pay for airfare and then I crash at her dorm room for the week. This year however, she decided to get a hotel room for the weekend so we could party it up all in Daytona!

It seems that body art is more popular than one might expect. No doubt that you need a lot of confidence and a touch of exhibitionism in order to pull this off and feel comfortable.
I wonder how many people have given this a try? I can personally say that non-professional body painting is something I've tried with more than one gf and it has been a hit each & every time. For even more fun, try tossing an old white sheet on the ground as you paint each other and let the experience unfold. Besides creating artwork on each other, your sheet will become a canvass recording some of the fun you've shared. Later you can look back and see colorful reminders of this expressive experience.
