I have recently stayed at the Live Oaks Inn. It is under new ownership and has changed names. It is now called the Live Oaks Inn and the website is www.liveoaksinn.com. Rosario's kitchen no longer exists. The new owners did just buy a catering company. It is named Acorn Catering.
Great views of the Halifax Harbor Marina and their private gardens. Very friendly owners. I lot of modern updates while keeping with a historic setting. My husband and I visited Live Oaks and it was the perfect place for the occasion, our one year anniversary. We stayed in the Osbourne with a beautiful Florida room on the second floor looking out on the marina. It also has a nice jacuzzi tub. We had a tour of all the rooms and they were all individually fabulous. Our next stay will be in the Troy. Hospitality was an A+ which is important when staying at a bed and breakfast. They made it feel like home and are always there when you need something and also gave you plenty of space.
Surronded by the beauty of nature just sitting and eating breakfast is relaxing and beautiful. The location is close to everything. You can do as little and as much you want. Leave a Comment

We went to this historic bed and breakfast for dinner the first time we stayed at Halifax Harbor Marina. We were over on C dock, and this was the only place I could walk to. I have not stayed here, but the dining room was furnished with a lot of antiques.

My husband and I stayed at the Live Oaks Inn immediately after they renovated. It is beautiful. It was a very relaxing stay and we have already recommended it to friends who will be staying there later this spring. The staff is friendly and helpful.
There is a great view of the marina. There are several enhanced amenities in the rooms including Jacuzzis, Victorian soaking tubs, sun rooms, private decks and new beds and linens.
