The condo at Sea Club had a sea view from every room allowing us to see the sunrise daily.
Nautical themed with many ameneties and a super friendly staff. Pool, computers, gas grills, free daily newspapers,full litchen,ocean access...a great 8 days recently.
Smaller but nice with everything one would need to relax. Spent Thanksgiving here...5 days.

You'll see the Starlight Diner opposite the Beach Walk Shops on a drive down Atlantic Avenue. It's a blast from the past--a greasy spoon, short order diner perfect for late night meals or late morning brunch.
located in the parking lot in front of the speedway is the daytona 500 experience. the daytona 500 experience has a 3D imax movie presentation, acceleration alley were you can drive a race car simulator, and a gift shop that sells NASCAR souveniers. you can also book rides on the daytona race track or drive a race car yourself. these two options must be reserved in advance by calling 1-800- BE PETTY. see the attached website for ticket information. the daytona 500 experience is a very interesting place to visit for stock car racing fans.

I did have time to do a side trip to Heading to Daytona Beach for some sunbathing and drive the car right on the beach - another american and new experience to me!!
The weather was a bit chilly to have a drop into the ocean but ok for sunbathing and people watching!

You can't date an astronautical engineer and NOT visit the Kennedy Space Center. Even I have a geeky side. :-) This was right before the shuttle launched as well, so I got to see it. I'll get around to writing something up on this soon, but in the meantime I thought I would go ahead and post the pictures. If you would like to see more of these visit my external photo album.
