Although seamlessly blended with the oceanfront commercial strips and high-rise hotels of Daytona Beach, Daytona Beach Shores is a separate beach community. While Daytona Beach is Volusia County’s signature destination and the epicenter for the area’s active schedule of events, Daytona Beach Shores seems to boast more high-rises along its oceanfront. Many visitors to Daytona Beach actually stay in the resorts and hotels of Daytona Beach Shores. I have not stayed here, but have driven down coastal route A1A through these parts while visiting Daytona Beach.
