Small Place Amidst the Giants
As we drove along the coast highway from Boca Raton to Deerfield Beach, we were struck by the number of beautiful high rise condos. Alas, the Emerald Seas was the one exception. It was neither beautiful nor a high rise. The first impression was that the buildings should be torn down. Hurricane damage was blamed for the condition of the buildings, but it really was more than that - more like neglect. The room itself was adequate - a studio apartment that slept 3. Kitchen was well equipped and the room was clean. The best thing about the place - actually the only good thing - was that the resort is right on the ocean. There are 2 pools with a cabana and barbecue, as well as shuffleboard court. Then it's right onto the beach. Restaurants are within a mile or so, but none close enough to walk to.
