Beach

Pack something to hold empty cans, snack wrappers, etc. Even biodegradable items left behind will litter the area for weeks, monts or more. Be sure to bring sunscreen. Sunglasses and hats will help to avoid squinting and therefore eye fatigue, from both the sun and reflected hight from the sand.
got to check out fudpuckers
by sabcodoc about Fudpuckers
We went to Fudpucker's to eat on our last night in Destin. We had a great time. The service was great and the food was even better. It was the best place that we ate at the whole time we were there. The kids love it because of the baby alligators. They can feed them and also have their picture taken with them. They also have an outside bar. This is a must to check out if you visit Destin. I had the Crab Cakes. They were delicious. My husband and almost everyone else had a steak and they were well pleased with theirs.
Outback -- great service
by Aliseeya about Outback Steakhouse
Yes, they have an Outback in Destin! It's just your typical Outback, serving consistently delicious food and steaks. However, the thing that really sets this Outback apart from other chain restaurants in Destin is the service. There is an employee shortage in Destin, and most restaurants will literally hire anyone off of the street, regardless of experience. As a result, many restaurants have poor service. Outback ranks in my top 5 restaurants in Destin with flawless service.
Outback Steakhouse gets extremely busy during the high season, and you will have to wait awhile for a table. However, despite the long lines, parties of 2 often do not have to wait very long, as small tables in the bar area open up quite frequently.
You must cross the bridge over...
by SeaBreezeUSA
You must cross the bridge over Destin Pass. The water colors are spectacular. You can walk along the beach, lay in the sun, go sailing, fishing, ride the jet ski's, shop, eat at the many restaurants, or hundreds of other activities. No matter what your taste, you will find more than enought to do.
To me, I enjoy sitting on the beach, relaxing, listening to the surf, reading or watching the activity on the beach. It is a joy just to relax and take life easy.
Life in Destin
by destinflorida
"Destin"
Will share some insider views of this small Florida panhandle fishing village- with a population of some 11,000-which attracts over 7 million visitors a year. They keep coming back to visit the sugar white sandy beaches and emerald green waters. People who have traveled all over the world tell me they've never seen beaches as beautiful. Growth has exploded here, making it a hot market, even though the population is fairly small within the city limits.
