Louisiana Lagniappe is absolutely one of the best restaurants in town - The atmosphere/decor is somewhat tired and dated, but primarily because they will be moving to a new location in another year or so. Their lease will be up and so will close a chapter. Cajun/Creole dining at its best. Wine selection is so-so. Grouper Pontchartrain and Grouper Cocodrie are two of my personal favorites, but my wife loves their Jambalaya and Shrimp Ettouffee. Ask for a side of "Rooster Red Sauce" if you like your jambalaya a little spicier. You cannot go wrong with the Shrimp and Andouille Fettuccine either.

My sister and I stumbled upon this establishment on our girls night out. Very friendly customers and staff. We just had a little snack here and some drinks, but met some interesting people and had fun. We left before the band started but wish we would have stayed. All the food smelled yummy and looked mouth watering. Will go back next year to try some entrees. They have an out door bar where you can sit and relax too!!!

AIR FORCE ARMAMENT MUSEUM

The Air Force Armament Museum is the only museum in the world dedicated to the collection, preservation and exhibition of artifacts and memorabilia associated with Air Force Armament and its platform of delivery.

The AFAM is open daily from 9:30am. to 4:30pm. CST.The museum is closed on federal holidays. Free admission.Tours are self-guided.

"Tropical water in the contiguous states"

The water here is really like the tropics. Emerald green and white sand. It is a favorite family vacation spot for much of the southeast. Over the years, it seems more wealth is moving in and the area is getting more of a Palm Beach feel. It can be crowded in the summer time, so you may want to spend extra on accommodations.
