defenetely beaches. REMEMBER THE 3 S RULE: SUN, SAND & SEA. Welcome!!! Maybe paradise exists, or is it just a peace of heaven on Earth. Crystal clear emerald green ocean, snow white, sun kissed sand, golden sun, gorgeous sunsets. The beach just goes on, and on, and on... Amazingly beautiful area, like a little peace of Carribean Islands on the coast of Florida. Walk all the way along the beach, let the golden sun shine in your face and warm see breeze play with your hair, feel the water and sand between your toes!!!!!

Your Generic Beach Bar

Aj's is a restaurant by day, bar by night establishment. I cannot speak of their food from experience, but can comment on the nightlife. AJ's was the most packed place of all the bars we have been to in Destin. That said, if you like a laidback atmosphere stay away, but if you enjoy the company of a couple of thousand drunk strangers then this is the place for you! The music swings between hip-hop, lifeless techno, and rap. They do host live music and that was the best thing about AJ's that I can remember, along with the view of the beach. All said, I didn't like this bar, but it was free with the purchase of admission to the other clubs in town, so what's to lose? Either beachwear or clubwear.

They Cook What You Catch

Normal looking seafood restaurant right on the docks. We went here directly after getting off a charter with two coolers full of fish. Just give them what you caught and they'll cook it up for you (for a fee) either blackened, grilled or fried with fries and some hush puppies.

Don't be worried about how you're dressed. We came right off a boat, complete with fish blood and guts, and they're didn't bat an eye. The mackerel that I caught and they grilled (basically because my dad and I caught it).

If you like to shop, this is the place for you . . . This place is absolutely HUGE . . . 119 stores . . . Opens at 10AM, 7 days a week . . . It is hilarious to watch a mommy van full of women file out and march up to their starting point . . . Women on a mission

If you are looking for a beautiful beach, warm friendly locals, gorgeous clear water so clear you can be waist deep and still see your feet this is the place for you. Dolpin play close to the shore. Fantastic food no matter what your tastes are in great abundance! It is heaven on earth!!!

"Sand from Heaven!"

The sand in Destin area is so white it hurts your eyes on a sunny day. Yet it is so soft to walk on that it feels like you are walking on powdered sugar. All the beaches are kept extremely clean and it's easy to fina a remote beach where you barely see another person.
