It is very difficult to find cheap (and vacant) accomodations in Destin during the touristy season. However, the Village Inn has some of the cheapest prices around - from $35-60 a night depending on the season.
But, you get what you pay for! The Village Inn is NOT on the beach, nor is it within easy walking distance. It's rooms are your basic motel room, nothing special. My parents stayed here when they came to visit me, and while they had no major complaints about their room, overall the rooms were not very appealing. Basically, it provides only a place to sleep: nothing more.
This hotel is suitable for those traveling on a very limited budget, such as college spring-breakers. If you are coming to Destin to enjoy the beach, I would not stay here.
Directions: Located on Hwy 98, on the opposite side of the beaches.
