Flamingo's best campground, errr the only campgrou

The campground at Flamingo has three camping options. Motorhome and large trailers sites, drive up campsites, and my favorite, walk up campsites. The motor home and drive up sites are noisy and crowded. The walk up campsites are just that, one cannot reach them by vehicle. You leave the car at a distance and you must carry all you equipment yourself on foot. This makes them very quiet, and uncrowded. I love them. To top it off. The walkups have ocean view. The southermost sites are about 50 yards from the ocean. A great view and great ocean breezes. They have a table and a bar-b-q. You provide the rest. They are a steep $14 a night and there are cold water only showers, sinks, and toilets. There is an amphitheater in the campground where the rangers hold info sessions in the evenings, and all the peace and quiet you can handle.
