Any comments on the Best Western Fort Lauderdale Inn?
Travelling to Fort Lauderdale 2Jun. Taking Cruise to Bahamas 3-6Jun and will need another night's accommodation on 6Jun.
Rate for the Best Western thru the internet was USD89.
Any other suggestions for clean room around this price or lower is very much appreciated.
I stayed at the Best Western when I took a cruise to the Bahamas from Ft. Lauderdale. It's been a couple years, but I remember that I had no issues with the hotel at all. If you are taking the shuttle from the hotel to the port, be sure to start a line and stay in it! We all just sat about until the shuttle first came, and everyone scrambled to form a line. We ended up in the back and had to take the 3rd shuttle trip. It didn't leave us a lot of time to get organized at the port.

Didn't know where else to put this but I'll put it here. If you're in need of an internet cafe there's a great one called Soapy's Stations. You get pre-paid internet cards, $5 will get you 50 minutes. And it's right by the beach.

the parrot lounge has been a fort lauderdale drinking institution since 1970. this typical florida style beach bar caters to a mixture of tourists and locals. in my opinion one of the best beach bars in south florida. casual.
This is definetely NOT Cuban. Fabulous authenic Spanish food. Seafood is always fresh and the sauces are extraordinary. The lamb shank is prepared with a brown sauce that is so delectable you just have to pick up the shank to get every morsel off the bone. The wine list has a great selection of great Spanish reds and whites.
Don Shula's restaurants (he also has one in Miami Lakes) are very well-reknown for offering the most delicious, tender steaks! If you enjoy a choice steak, an extensive wine list, and a view of Fort Lauderdale Beach as you dine...go to Shula's on the Beach! As prices go, this restaurant is pricey; however, it is a perfect place for a special occasion...or a memorable night while in Fort Lauderdale! Ask to be seated by the windows to the right side of the restaurant so you can enjoy the most gorgeous sunset as you cut into a perfect (and I mean PERFECT) steak! Filet mignon, side of garlic mashed potatoes, house salad and a glass of Chilean red wine...followed by a walk on the beach to work it all off!
It's very nice to walk on the shore of the beach, especially in the afternoon when the sun is not too hard.
There are a lot of places to go shopping, if you like it, you can go to the Sawgrass Mill
